About Me

For me, creativity was learned.

My first memory of being creative involved a happy meal toy that demonstrated how to draw a cat. After learning how to draw the initial cat, I began adding my own twists and experimenting with different colors, shapes, and even line weight.

This eagerness to learn and grow continued throughout my life. I took every opportunity to learn new creative skills and apply them.

I graduated from the Richmond Institute for Design and Innovation with a BFA in Product Design. While I was there, I found my niches in child development, toy design, and functional ceramics. I hope to continue to grow and learn in these areas for years to come.

I had the opportunity to work as an intern toy designer at Melissa & Doug, as well as a studio assistant at a local ceramic studio called Grayling Ceramics. I am eager to continue to find more opportunities in both fields.
